The Zambia Environmental Management Agency and the Ministry of National Development Planning in liaison with other stakeholders are organising the Environmental and Climate Change Media Awards to raise public awareness on issues relating to the environment and climate change. The awards will be adjudicated based on entries submitted by the journalist(s) themselves. Zambian journalists working for or freelancing with any print and electronic media institution are eligible. The rules of the entry are:
- Candidates are required to submit their work (one piece per category) for consideration which must have been published or aired between 1st May, 2016 and 30th April 2017.
- Print: Scanned newspaper cuttings or copies/papers, blogs and/or links to newspaper pages. This must include the date the article appeared and the name of the publication in which it appeared.
- Broadcasting: Radio/TV- Submit recorded audio broadcasts on CD and/or links to where these can be viewed or heard. Submissions must be backed with a script and authenticated by the Programme Manager and must have been aired.
- A photograph with details of the publication and copies of publication in which the photo was used.
Closing date for receipt of materials is Wednesday, 7th June, 2017
